I published a post about my Wabash Screen Door Company stove board a number of years ago. Since then, I have gotten more emails inquiring about the company’s history and the value of the old stove boards. I think it is astonishing that people are finding them, and then they are finding my blog for more information. The coolest email I got was just the other day. A gal has an old trunk that looks like someone used one of these old stove boards for the lid.

I thought I would follow up with some excellent ads, histories, and bios I found while doing a search on Internet Archive. Enjoy!

Edward Kemp Obituary – American Artisan and Hardware Record 1916-06-10: Vol 71 Iss 24

Thank you so much for these posts on the Wabash Screen Door Co! I recently found the Aluminum Finish stove board in the attic of our shed of our 1890 house in a mountain town in CO, being used to patch a hole in the floor & hiding in plain sight! Thanks to this post I know what year it dates from.
