I’m excited to share that I’ve just launched a new page under the “ALLIS-CHALMERS” menu. It’s a work-in-progress digital home for “AC Scope.” This was an employee magazine published by Allis-Chalmers for its workforce. Over the years, “AC Scope” served as a snapshot of the company’s inner life. It was part history and part community newsletter. It was also part oral history of the workers and operations.
I recently came across several beautifully preserved editions of these magazines. I scanned them to PDF, cleaned them up, and published them on this new page. For now, the collection is small. I hope to expand it over time.
If you, or someone you know, has copies of “AC Scope” that aren’t yet in the archive, please reach out. This includes other internal Allis-Chalmers newsletters or sales leaflets. I’d be thrilled to collaborate, scan, and preserve them. My aim is to create a comprehensive archive. This serves as a tribute to the people and machines behind the Allis-Chalmers legacy.
